Occupational Therapist
Sydney grew up in Okotoks, Alberta, and completed a Bachelor of Music in Integrated Studies with a minor in Psychology at the University of Calgary. She later earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
Sydney has over five years of experience supporting individuals of all ages with diverse abilities. Her certifications include Spark the Change: Hastings’ Protocol for FES/NMES, Concussion Awareness Training Tool, Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, to name a few. She also attended the Saskatoon Rehabilitation Conference 2025, the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy Conference 2025, and Patient Engagement in Cerebral Palsy Research at the University of Calgary. She is passionate about working with children and committed to providing individualized, strengths-based care that honours each client’s unique profile. Her approach is neuroaffirming, play-focused, and centered on fostering meaningful participation in everyday activities.
Drawing on her background in music, Sydney thoughtfully incorporates musical elements into her occupational therapy practice, using them as a tool to support engagement, regulation, and connection in a way that aligns with each individual’s needs and interests.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys playing the trumpet with various bands and ensembles, as well as spending time outdoors through activities like hiking, kayaking, and exploring nature.

MT Patricia Milburn-Barile
Patricia has been practicing massage for over two decades and has grown her toolbox of techniques to accommodate any client, big or small, no matter their concerns. Some techniques and experience that we’re especially excited for her to bring to our clinic are her Liddle Kidz Pediatric Massage certification, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular facilitation techniques, TMJ active and motion release techniques, her years of doing pre and post-natal massage, reflexology, myofascial and fascial work, side-lying position massage, scar tissue massage, and more.

PT Jessica Vo
Jessica earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and is passionate about helping children reach their full potential. She works with infants and children with a wide range of needs, including developmental delays, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal concerns.
Jessica has completed additional training in Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME), Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), non-invasive spinal electrical stimulation, and functional electrical muscle stimulation. She uses these techniques alongside evidence-based physiotherapy to create individualized treatment plans that support each child’s movement, strength, and independence.
In addition to her clinic work, Jessica works casually at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, supporting children recovering from surgery, illness, or complex medical conditions. She is passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where children and their families feel comfortable and empowered.

BT Renae Calder
Renae is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Behavioural Therapist with a background in human development, specializing in children, youth, and families. She has years of experience working with children with developmental differences, and it is her passion to help them experience success and confidence.
Renae works through a person-centered lens, as every child and family is unique, and supports them in a way that works best for them, using evidence based practices.
Renae is certified with the Canadian Counselling and Psychology Association, as a Play Therapist with the Canadian Association For Play Therapy, and as an Accelerated Resolution Therapist (ART). Jenn has over 20 years experience and is passionate about helping children of all ages overcome sensory, fine-motor/writing, and self-care challenges (feeding, bathing, dressing). She believes in the power of a collaborative approach and works closely with parents to develop tailored solutions that best support their child’s unique needs. Her goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where children can build confidence and reach their full potential.
Over the years, Jenn has pursued professional development in Interception with Kelly Maher, Autism intervention with Kim Barthel, feeding interventions with Marsha Dunn Klein, the Wilbarger Protocol with Patricia Wilbarger, Sensory Profiling with Winnie Dunn, and trauma-informed care.
Jenn is dedicated to using evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to ensure that each child receives the highest quality of care. Lydia was born and raised in Calgary, AB and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. She later called Ontario home when attending Queen’s University in Kingston when completing her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. Her experience involves over 14 years working professionally with children in areas such as youth coaching, in-home services, and various organizations and programs for children with neuromotor disabilities, developmental delays, and other complex disabilities.
Lydia is an AADL certified Occupational Therapist and can support with acquiring incontinence products. She is also certified in the SOS Approach to Feeding, oral motor training for pre-feeding skills, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), and trained in Interoception approaches.
Lydia has a strong passion for working with children and youth in a holistic and family-centered manner to establish and accomplish meaningful goals, valuing trust and respect to provide compassionate and fun service.

Shaun obtained his Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from McGill University. He is passionate about helping his clients of all ages improve their communication skills. Shaun is a fun, energetic, and dedicated clinician, who loves to “think outside the box” during therapy to motivate his clients to communicate.
Shaun has worked with a variety of populations over the past decade but has a particular fondness for complex communicators and those using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). PT Dipika Shah
Dipika is a Pediatric Physiotherapist with advanced training in Neuro-pediatrics and a PhD in Pediatric Physiotherapy, completed in 2018. Prior to relocating to Canada, she was an Assistant Professor and head of the Department of Pediatric Physiotherapy at Charusat University in India.
Her professional experience spans clinical care, teaching, research, and mentorship. She has presented her work at international forums and has supported children with developmental delays across school, outpatient, and community environments. Alongside her clinical work, she has helped mentor physiotherapists in refining their treatment planning and approach.
Dipika’s practice is grounded in thoughtful, individualized care. She draws from a broad clinical toolkit that includes Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Sensory Integration, and Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR) to create treatment plans that reflect each child’s unique needs and goals. Her experience also includes working with Indian Paralympic athletes, supporting children involved in national-level sports, and contributing therapeutic outreach services to orphanages.
Since joining the Canadian Centre for Development, Dipika has continued to expand her clinical expertise. She has completed Level C certification in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), as well as training in TheraTogs, specialized techniques for Cystic Fibrosis, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), Airway Clearance Therapy, and Posture and Alignment.

Randi grew up in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. She earned a B.Sc. in Psychology from Briercrest College and Seminary, followed by a B.Sc. in Communication Disorders, and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, both from Minot State University.
Randi has experience working with children of all ages as well as adults. Her passion for early development began at the young age of 16 when she began working in the Special Education classroom in her high school. This passion grew stronger while working as an Early Childhood Educator where she loved supporting children as they learn and grow.
She believes that when families feel supported and involved, children are better able to reach their full potential. Whether working one-on-one or in group settings, Randi enjoys partnering with children of all abilities and looks forward to building strong, meaningful connections with the families she serves.

Shivani began her physiotherapy journey by earning her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, and completing her Master’s in Neurological Conditions in 2018, in India. Before moving to Alberta in 2023, she worked as a pediatric physiotherapist in Ontario, where she also earned her Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) certification with Simona DeMarchi.
